Eva Longoria’s Delicious in Berlin, Germany

Showing some love to her German fans, Eva Longoria stepped out for dinner at the Borchardt Restaurant in Berlin last night (February 26). Clad in a white jacket, black skirt and black leather boots, the “Desperate Housewives” dame seemed to be enjoying herself as she exited the eatery and chatted with the shutterbugs for a bit. Prior to her trip to Germany on Tuesday, Eva tweeted, “Had a beautiful day in Malibu now taking off the cold cold Berlin! Where are my German friends? I’m coming to see you all!!!” Miss Longoria also appears in a new Sheba cat food commercial in which she shows off her ballroom moves and proclaims, “Dancing is my passion. So is my cat …feed your passion.”

Eva Longoria to be Honored at 2013 Texas Medal of Arts Awards

Biennial statewide awards honor achievements of Texans in the arts. The Texas Cultural Trust is proud to announce Eva Longoria’s acceptance of the 2013 Texas Medal of Arts Award for Multimedia, to be celebrated at the Texas Medal of Arts(TMA Awards) in Austin, TX on March 4th and 5th 2013. Longoria, a Corpus Christi native, will receive the Multimedia Award for her work as an actress, author and philanthropist.

The TMA Awards honor great Texans who have achieved success through their creative talents and have enriched the unique culture of Texas. Since its 2001 inception, the Texas Medal of Arts Awards has honored 71 outstanding Texans including Laura Bush, Walter Cronkite, Tommy Lee Jones, Lyle Lovett, Willie Nelson, Robert Rauschenberg and ZZ Top.

Longoria starred in Desperate Housewives on ABC and has been honored with a People’s Choice Award and multiple Screen Actors Guild Awards for her work on the show. Currently, Longoria is directing and producing three new television shows and has several feature films coming out this year including “Frontera,” “Baytown Outlaws,” “Crazy Kind of Love,” and “The Dark Truth.” A philanthropist, Longoria founded Eva’s Heroes, an organization that offers aid for developmentally challenged youth. She also created The Eva Longoria Foundation, which helps Latinas build better futures through education and entrepreneurship. She is the author of “Eva’s Kitchen: Cooking with love for family and friends,” and a restaurateur boasting Beso in Los Angeles, and She Steakhouse in Las Vegas. Longoria is a graduate of Texas A&M – Kingsville.

Eva Longoria on The Cover of Latina Magazine – November 2012

Hollywood power player Eva Longoria graces the November 2012 cover of Latina magazine. Eva speaks to Latina about being the cochair of President Barack Obama’s reelection campaign and her mission to educate Latinos on the president’s policies.

Switching gears to her TV projects, Eva shares on her transition from in front of the camera to behind it as an executive producer behind two of TV’s most highly anticipated shows, NBC’s Ready for Love and Lifetime’s Devious Maids. The issue hits newsstands, Flipboard and Nook newsstand on October 16th!

Eva Longoria arrives in Auckland

US actress Eva Longoria has arrived in New Zealand on her first visit to the country. The former Desperate Housewives star, 37, is in Auckland to help launch The Shopping Channel, though Kiwi media organisations have been told they can only ask her two questions each, which will be vetted by her management in advance. Longoria will attend a V.I.P. event for the dedicated retail TV channel and will appear live on air at 7.30pm on Thursday. Late last night she posted on her Facebook page : “Boarding my flight for New Zealand! So excited for 14 hours of sleep! See you guys when I land!”

Longoria is co-chair of US President Barack Obama’s re-election campaign. In July, she told Parade magazine that she had wrongly assumed finishing on Desperate Housewives would allow her more free time, but that her work schedule had been busy.

“I just want to work with people that I love and enjoy. And do work that is meaningful, philanthropically as well. As things go on, those are my focuses,” Parade quoted her as saying.

Longoria split from ex-husband Tony Parker in November 2010 and confirmed last month that she was dating New York Jets quarterback Mark Sanchez.

Eva Longoria to visit New Zealand next week

Hollywood celebrity Eva Longoria will be in New Zealand next week. The former Desperate Housewives star is due in New Zealand to help launch the Shopping Channel, and is scheduled to appear at a VIP launch party on Wednesday. She’ll follow that up with a live appearance on the Shopping Channel on Thursday, at 7.30pm. The Shopping Channel is New Zealand’s first dedicated retail TV channel, with media personalities Candy Lane, Monty Betham and Mike Puru confirmed as hosts. Shopping Channel CEO Alistair Duff said it would be Longoria’s first time in New Zealand.

“Eva is the perfect guest for our launch week as she embodies what The Shopping Channel is all about – style and glamour, with warmth and approachability,” he said.

Ogilvy New Zealand boss Greg Partington it could well become the most watched channel on New Zealand screens.

“Our research is telling us that New Zealand women will watch our channel, particularly our prime-time viewing. We understand that we will get in excess of 600,000 Kiwi women watching the channel every week, and that’s huge.”

Longoria, 37, starred in eight seasons of Desperate Housewives as bored housewife Gabrielle Solis before the show ended its run earlier this year. She has four films due for release, and recently spoke at the Democratic National Convention.

The “For Greter Glory” actress donned a lovely A black lace Monique Lhuillier gown with Martin Katz jewels as she worked the red carpet outside the Pasadena Civic Auditorium. Also dressed A floaty lavender ball gown from Maria Lucia Hohan, Alberta Ferretti gown, A gold basketweaved Carlos Miele creation, An Emilio Pucci black cut out dress with sequin detailing, A red Angel Sanchez one-shoulder gown, A simple white column gown paired with a high pony, A rasberry crumb-catcher gown with feather embellishments, An orange column gown with a gold collar.
